		<description>The issue is summed up in a kernel report i put in about the same problem

The encryption has to be supplied first

Then the following has to be given

SSID, MAC and Channel of the AP

If you just give them SSID, and do a scan the rest can be filled in from the scan

So if you make everything static for the AP you want to associate to, SSID, MAC and channel

chances are you can associate without issues.

Im am finding 2.6.25-gentoo-r7 to be a dog of a kernel for mac80211 and iwl3945

whereas the previous kernel just worked.</description>
